Can be a tricky one, here some steps to try. if its a petrol vehicle try disconnecting fuel pipe closest connection to carb or injectors and put a cloth over and gentle suck on it. if diesel you can bleed air out of the injector pipe by slightly loosening no1 injector pipe. open fuel lid and blow into tank(with compressed air if available) and will start spitting air and the fuel will start coming out reconnect pipe tighten properly. opening the tank and using compressed air can be used on petrol or diesel. try rapping a cloth round air nozzle to close for air escaping. when putting in the tank. let it release from time to time otherwise it mite damage a pipe. good luck.
