Already had a new throttle body put in a little over a year ago and it has started messing up again but now my engine sounds bad. It is like it has lack of fuel. we are 4 hours away from home and were trying to leave to head back home when this started. any solutions!

There are two things that can cause similar symptoms to the TPS, ( throttle position sensor ),
1. The oxygen sensor, ( front, before catalytic converter ). If this part is bad it will prevent the computer from being able to determine the proper fuel-air mix ratio.
2. Mass airflow sensor. If this part is bad it will cause incorrect information to the computer as well. The result is varying levels of, loss of power. ( sometimes you can unplug the mass airflow sensor to see if the engine runs smoother. You really shouldn't, but, some will drive while the sensor is unpluged and it will eventually damage other sensors as well as cause ill effects to the catalytic converter.
