Am attempting to get 'inside' the vacuum to troubleshoot why it suddenly stopped running. Suspect it may electrical, and have already checked the obvious (visible cord and plug.) However, there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to get inside the canister without destroying something. Thanks!

Here's a link to a repair solution that I've done explaining how to diagnosis the cord reel, and open up the machine. The model this is done on is not the same exact model as yours, but the repair will be almost identical. Usually when this happens all of a sudden, chance are good that you need to replace your cord reel. Due to a request by the manufacturer we are no longer allowed to sell the cord reel online, however if you need to obtain one, just give us a call and we'll be happy to provide one for you.
