Am using a engenius 3610 ext. but i forgot about my password and i want to reset to default using the serial cable through the hyper terminal connection.but when i used the upper case like the M ,L ,W ITS GIVES ME FUNNY CHARACTERS

Check your hyperterminal settings and make sure the communications settings are correct: baud rate 57600, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no flow control. telnet terminal ID ANSIW. The full directions are here:

If this doesn't work, and it doesn't work from a different computer either, then I would suspect your USB/Serial cable or your radio unit itself.
