Amana ARB2557CB Icemaker.... Removed Icemaker to mend plastic anchor for on-off wire arm. (Second time this piece has been broken... First time under warranty, they replaced entire icemaker) I reinforced the pivot for the wire arm and this fixed the broken part OK...Reinstalled the icemaker, plugged cable back OK.. No ice after 24 hours...Water dispenser inside frige works. Don't know how or where water source for icemaker is located. Is it possible this line is frozen?

Check the solenoid that actuates the ice maker, there is also an inlet valve that controls water on ice maker lines, test that is not faulty by energizing it and reading continuity on valve solenoid. If you still cannot find out why the ice maker is not starting, double check the wirings to ice maker.

Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahrenheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice.
Water for fridge and ice maker are the same , so the water valve is working the problem is in the head of the ice maker, when you unplug any ice maker you need to put it in what they call neutral, also you may want to check that when you did the arm nothing got jammed, as far as the water freezing in the tube, that doesnt happen too often, and if that was your problem it would have been acting up before this also, thank you for using fixya.com any other time i may help just let me know, have a wonderfull day.
I have a queston: Since you just repaired the 'on/off' arm, I'd start there first - can you hear an audible click from it? have you tried testing it with a continuity or ohm meter to make sure the switch is working as it should?
