Ambient sound is louder than the music
When I am using this turntable, any ambient noise (talking, sounds it the house etc. are REALLY loud while I can barely hear the actual music on the album when playing the file on I Tunes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a Mac (OS X 10.5.7) and had the same problem with the Ion TTUSB system picking up room noise. This seemed to fix it:
In System Preference, under Hardware, choose "Sound".
Choose "Input".
Under "Choose a device for sound input" choose USB Audio CODEC type: USB

I tried it out - now it seems to work, but there is a high pitch noise coming from the speakers now. It has a very low volume but is still annoying!!! Please help....
