American Tracfone Motorola C139 in Europe
I have a Motorola C139 (tracfone) purchased in the States and was told I could use it in Europe if I replaced the phone card. I have unlocked the phone and placed a new card in from the european country in which I am now. Still can not get it to accept the SIM. What to do?

I have a Motorola C139 phone that I purchased in Italy. The display and text is in Italian but I would like to change it to English. How would I do this.
I suspect that we are talking at cross purposes. Each SIm has the facility to lock/unlock; that is a security feature. Airtime providers also lock their phones, though, and that - I fear - is what you have here.
Which country are you in and which Airtime provider's SIM have you purchased? Has the SIM been activated?
I have dealt with most UK Airtime providers, Vodafone in Italy, Greece and Cyprus, plus Movistar in Spain.
Most certainly. You can but one here:http://www.euroelettrica.it/cgi-bin/publ... and Motorola has an Italian site at www.motorola.it
What do you mean by you unlocked the phone in SIM APP? To unlock a Motorola phone, you need an eight digit 'Subsidy Password' which can only be gleaned from Motorola: they keep a database of all subsidy passwords, as there is no algorithm to calculate the code as with some other manufacturers. From where/whom did you get your code?
Oops. Ignore last sentence: just noticed that you said it was unlocked from the start. Are you SURE about that, though? When I bought mine, it was locked to Cingular (and still is, because AT&T won't give me the subsidy password as I am no longer 'live' and never had a contract with them for the minimum period of six months).
