Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Your amp is clipping. A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you.
The ground will not be the problem here as if it is grounded incorrectly the amp will NOT power up. Check the speaker cables to make sure there are no breaks. also check the rca cables for the same and make sure they are plugged in all the way. couldn't hurt to take a look at the remote wire. if you want to test the subs to make sure they are not blown try taking them out and hooking them to a home receiver you should be able to make sure they are carrying frequency that way. if so then check the head unit settings. Sometimes the wires inside the woofer box shake loose take one sub out and check if they are connected properly. Hope this helps.
For one... is the protect LED on?? Check the ground cable and make sure its on right, and check ur speaker wire from the amp to the box, and the box to the amp... red is positive, black is negative
