Amplifier won't turn on
I have everything hooked up correctly and the amp has been tested in another car and works. I have a weaker (250w) amp that was hooked up previously and worked correctly. When the stereo comes on, the new amp's power light flashes on, then instantly goes off. The fuses have been checked and are the correct size. Could the battery be too low to handle the stronger amp or what else could be the problem? Thanks.

That's it. You need a stronger battery. Ideally a separate battery hooked up parallel to the original, with an upgraded alternator, and capacitor. That is pretty pricey, so if it won't work with the car running, first check wire size. The bigger the better. Bigger wires lose less voltage over distance. Try swapping out the battery for a bigger one, like the one in the car that the amp worked in. Then add capacitor.
