aprilaire 600 humidifier: water continuously runs, even when furnace burners and blowers stop.
TEST 1: i turned the dial on humidifier to lowest settings level "1" and also to "off" but water still runs.
TEST 2: i turned off the master power switch to the entire furnace, and water stops running.
note: humidifier control is installed directly to exhaust duct on interior of house, and not to any external reader.

Sounds like you may have it wired to a continuous power source vs one that shuts off with the furnace. The most common wiring is red to C & white to W
This resolved my problem. The original installed had it wired to different contacts. Switching the red wire to C fixed my issues. The white wire was already correct.
