Aprilaire 600 problem
This unit is 4 years old. All maintenance performed yearly. This year, no water from solenoid. The humidstat is a '56'. Won't work in 'test' position.
Outside sensor is hooked up to humidistat:
The following voltage checks were performed:( while on and demanding heat):
- voltage from transformer to humidistat = 27 volts
- voltage from humidistat to solenoid = 13 volts.
I am assuming that the humidistat is faulty, would this be correct? Would appreciate any guidance on this problem. Thank you

It sounds like you got it...
The solenoid will not open with only 13 volts to it. Jump or apply the full 24-27 volts to the solenoid and see if it clicks and opens and allows water to flow.
If the valve still won't open or pass water, start looking for a plugged inlet solenoid inlet screen or a faulty solenoid valve as well as a faulty humidistat.
The red and white (varies) sounds like the 24 volt line voltage so you should be able to test with it.
If you permanently jump the humidistat, there won't be any control of the water solenoid valve and it will remain open all the time, whether the furnace is running or not.
