Are the plastic gears inside the motor cracked again?
Loud thunking when running. Just replaced the woodruff key. The main bolt was stuck, so I struck that bolt with a hammer to loosen it. Are the plastic gears inside the motor cracked again? What are the reasons that these gears occasionally crack? I assumed that any part put into a mower would be strong enough to withstand normal pressures?

Maybe the lawnmower is just a little to old or is just stumbling upon inground stumps/ high hills and rocks. As long as it is still working your good though.
