Ariens sierra 1440G belt configuration
I recently pulled my cutting deck off to clean it. I went to put it all back together and I think I have put the belt on the wrong way because the blades wont spin anymore when they are engaged, the pully just spins becuase the belt is too loose.Is there somewhere I can get a diagram of how the belt is set out or is there something that I need to tighten in order to get friction on the belt/pulley

Hi, you may have more than one problem. There should be one belt from the mower deck going to the electric clutch pulley which is on the engine shaft. On the shaft there are two pulleys, one belt comes from the mower deck, and the other comes from the transaxle pulley. check to see if your belts are in the right areas.
