Asks me to When I run my recovery disk that Acer sent me this is what occurs, System disk runs and loads fine I F12 as instructed by Acer and then wait Asks what language I want instruction in I choose English and click next Wait a moment then it ejects system cd and asks for recovery disk or backup, Insert Recovery disk 1 of 2, it brings up a dialog box for Restore to factory default, I click ok And get ?error reading disk? I click ok (only choice) A confirm restore dialog box comes up, I click Ok, it tells me to wait then I get a restore partition box and immediately get an error: Restore failed ? reason 0xa000000e. Click to restart computer I click ok (only choice) Please wait a moment?. Restarts and goes to verifying then copyright in fo and returns: PXE-E61: media test failure, check cable PXE-MOF: exiting PXE ROM. DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER I insert system disk again and press enter, it loads files again That?s where I get with these recovery disks HELP ME PLEASE!

Either you DVD is corrupt, OR the DVD reader is not working correctly. It seems the reason the restore failed, is that it "Thinks" the Hard Drive is corrupt, too corrupt to replace the OS on... The only thing to try now, is to get a Windows install DVD, put DVD in drive and boot from the DVD, then try to install with that, when you get to installing and it asks if you want to Format, do so, format Full NTFS. Then try to proceed to installing. If this too fails then you will need to replace your hard Drive, quite a simple matter.
