Assassin's Creed 2 won't load on Xbox 360
We just bought assassin's creed 2 for Xbox 360. The xbox does not read the disk: we either get a disk error message or a blank black screen depending on the disk. got back to the store with the game and console, tried 3 different disks of assassin's creed, and always same problem: no way we could load the game. Console updated (sales person placed their hard disk on our console and said that it would install all the updates), but still can't play that game. Other games working OK although lately we sometimes have to start the disks 2 or 3 times to get the console to read it. Any one have an idea why we can't play Assassin's creed on our console? Console was bought on march 2009... So it is not very old. Thanks!

Sounds like your cd drive is not reading the discs properly. If that's not the problem, then you have a scratched disc on your hands.
Do what I did. Go to sellitbroken.com and sell your scratched/non-working game to them. They will give you good money for it.

I have the exact same problem as you described here. I know it's not my disc's problem because I inserted a new disc and it didn't work. I took it back to the store and exchanged another brand new disc, still the same result. Would really appreciate it if some knowledgeable person give some sound advice here.
