Atari 2600 junior problems
My atari 2600 junior plays games okay, but will not power off, no matter what position the switches are in. I've got a high quality RF to coax adapter that works fine with all my other retro systems, but produces noise and static with my atari.

Press up on the power switch to reset the machine. Then try powering down. If that fails, accumulated dirt or general usage may be preventing the on/off slider from sliding fully to the off position. If you want to hurt your baby, take it apart - you will find the obstruction in the casing (could be as simple as a ball of lint). I wouldn't reccomend it however - the Atari 2600 was always touchy, and this is not as big of a deal as it might seem. Just unplug after every use.
