Auto electric lighter for the gas stove no longer works
When I press and turn the knob of the gas cooktop, gas is released but there is no automatic electric lighter to ignite - there is no sound nor sparkle. It works when I manually lit the stove. I can't find any battery replacement nor electric wiring for the 'lighter' as it's a built-in cook top on the bench.

Gud day,the problem is ur igniter ligther is totally damage & nid to replace, if u want to use ur cooktop use matches or ligther every time open ur gas cooktop,tnx gerbee
No. The flame detector will cut off the gass if the central part of the burner, which is what ignites, is not hot. Look to see if there is water in the conduit under the tiny central core burner; blow it with an air can.
