Automatic shut off comes on as soon as I start cleaning the carpet
My Hoover has an automatic shut off to let me know when the collection tank is full. It is now coming on almost immediately after I start using the cleaner, even though the collection tank is empty. Also the lid on the tank is secure. What should I check to fix this problem?

Try taking tank out see if the sensor that might be stuck or the tank may have a small piece broken off that keeps the auto shut off working. Try utube for further videos on this problem.
