Automotive problem. 1991 Subaru Legacy C
Automotive problem. 1991 Subaru Legacy C wagon, 2.2L engine. Squeal/whine from front of engine, sounds like a belt. Dressing applied to belts, no change in sound. Air conditioner turned on and off, no change. Lights, fan, etc. turned on and off, no change. Accelerate, descelerate; no change!
Coolant level, engine oil, brake fluid, auto-trans fluid, power steering fluid all check at proper levels.
Any ideas?

Lubricant may not resolve it sounds like it could be your water pump froze up. Look to see if it is turning. Even if it turns it still could be bad.Usally the first sign of it going bad. Stop by your local auto parts store to see if they agree.
