Go to add new hardware in the c panel and run the wizard ..check already connected..and see the result ..be sure the device you want to be seen it is powered if case..and on ... if its a rackmout for an external hdd or something that shoud be seen auto...just go to bios ...and restore to optimal factory defaults or open and remove the bios battery ..cause there is a possibility that the bus is disabled.. I supposed you checked into the device manager ..if not...right click on my computer ..properties/hardware ..device manager and look for it ...if it is ..but in yellow it needs a driver... anyway ...even if its a midi system like a profesional multitrak ..it has to be seen if its powered and on ...after you load optimal defaults from bios and run the add new hardware ...
If there is no ssci port to connect, then you can get the spare ssci ports at computer parts store.also you Can get it from www.radioshack.com check out this fig for ssci port location. its simple to connect this port its just fitted by screws in the unit. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
Try disconnecting all external devices and reboot your unit. Next, check your device manager for flags or exclamation marks or the phase unknown device. If found any of the above, remove them and reboot checking the device manager each time, unit clean. After clean, re-connect the brake-out box. If you are usingUSB, try a different port until new hardware is found. Hope this finds you well.!! Happy Holiday's John
