Bad hard drive back up and replace on evesham ebox
Hi peepes, i'm looking for advice/help to replace a hard drive on Evesham Ebox it was supplied with Win MCE 2005 installed on a Maxtor 320gb hard drive.
Prior to crash I'd run "disk-check" - re-installed OS several times but now will not start at all after several notifications of - " bad hard drive, back-up and replace".
Any help please.

The only thing I can think of is you might hook up the drive as "slave" drive on a working computer and see if it will operate long enough to retrieve your data. But if the drive is dead you may have lost everything that was on it. There are services that do data recovery on dead hard drives but I'm sure it is expensive to have this done. This is why I always back up everything I do to a different device while I am working.
