Unless the sound is mechanical like metal on metal etc. what you may be hearing is the sound of the dough ball being knocked around and kneaded. Sometimes that gets pretty loud. While it is kneading go ahead and open the top and see if you think the dough ball is making the noise. If it seems to be coming from somwhere else then you may have a more serious problem. Is this a new noise or it this the first time you have used the machine?
Ok , then I would take the bread out and just bake it in your oven. After your machine cools off (wait about and hour)and after you clean the pan out etc. reinsert it and turn it on ....it may be the pan is not staying in position on the drive and the y are hearing the noise from that. If that is happening you should be able to see the skips and misses by observing the paddle. If that's not it then you have to decide if you want to try opening it up and looking around or just replace it. If the pan insertion is the problem let me knowOk , then I would take the bread out and just bake it in your oven.
