Balancing a 70mm refractor tube
I recently purchased a meade az70 telescope. The scope mount does not attach at a balancing point on the tube. Is there a simple way that I can balance this tube so that it does not backlash when I try to give it altitude adjustment?

Looking at pictures I found on the web, I see a knob on the bottom that tightens the scope to the dovetail bracket on the bottom of the scope. First attach all of your eyepiece then loosen that knob and slide the scope back or forth until it will balance without tightening the knob.
