Hi, we used a Saphir HiRes to scan some magic lantern slides 8 years ago, and now we have started scanning more. The problem is, some of the images (maybe 1 in 8) have a horizontal bar across the image. This bar is narrow, and has blocks of various colors in it. We don't see it when the scanned image first appears on the screen, only after we save the image and re-open it.

What could be causing this? Is the scanner too old? Is it a Linocolor issue? Any suggestions would be welcome.
