Battery won't make a connection and will not respond to test. went back to the hardware store and they opened a new one and tried without success. When you push the test button there is a chirp, but that does not meet the test result listed. VERY concerned that some consumers will think the chirp means 'all okay' and the unit will not function when needed! Would like to know the fix. Thanks.
