Your camera has a build in Lithium ion battery. The manual says, when the battery has reached the end of life, please contact your dealer where you bought thee camera. After more then 10 years, it could be possible you don't know where you bought the camera or the dealer not longer exists. I also think, you can buy a new camera, from much better quality, for less money, you should have to spend if someone should open the camera and place a new battery. For less then $100, you now can buy a camera with real zoom, more then 10 Mega pixel sensor and a replaceable rechargeable battery.
