Bazooka BTA series self-amplified tube subwoofer wont' power on
I had an Infinity Basslink self-amplified subwoofer. It used a wiring kit that consisted of 2 RCA cables, a ground wire, a battery wire, and a random blue wire that connects under the steering wheel, by the looks of it.

The wire connecting to the POSITIVE battery post is the RED wire.

The wire that acts as a grounding wire is a very dark brown / black-ish wire.

The wire that connects under the steering wheel is blue.'

The infinity sub that was using this wiring setup was installed at BestBuy where I got the Alpine deck I have now. The sub pretty much caught fire (cheap piece of ****) and is now garbage. My friend sold me his old Bazooka self-amp tube sub. I figured I could use the existing wiring that was already run throughout the car.

I twisted the REDcables together (the existing red battery cable and the red cable on the bazooka wiring harness).

I twisted the black cables together (I figure that should complete a grounding circuit, right?)

All that's left is the blue cord which connects under the steering wheel. My friend told me that the yellow cable on his wiring harness was connected under the steering wheel in his car so they should be the same. I twisted the blue and the yellow together. Gave it a shot. Nothing. Untwisted them. Nothing. No power. I looked at the bazooka website and according to them the ORANGE cable is supposed to be the remote on/off which connects under the steering wheel (to the ignition, I believe). Should I try and use the orange cable and the blue cable I have now, even though my friend said the yellow one is what he had used?

Why won't this work? So frustrating...
