Before using the first time
I have read the instructions but cannot find how to condition the machine before baking in it. The instructions send me to different pages, but fails to give the directions needed. Do I just clean the machine, plug it in, then put it on Fast Bake without any ingredients in it and let it run?

Yes just run it briefly without any ingredients in. give it a wipe with kitchen paper and you are ready to go! =]
