If the stand-by light doesn't even light up then the power source of your tv is completely fried. The tv is repairable - all you need to do is to replace the power source. But that will cost you around $50 for a second hand source ($100 for a new one) plus the labor of a guy you will have to call to do the job - around $75. I don't think this tv is worth that much money, you can get a new one for a little more.
