Ok, The tech from comcast came out to do some service work on their main line and switched out the old modem for a RCA DHG535. The router I have been using is the Belkin F5D7230-4. Everything worked fine until the modem switch. I noticed that the tech did not reconnect the router to the modem so I have tried to hook it back up. Went through the entire connection process with the wizzard and when it comes to connecting from the modem to the router it won't. The "WAN" light simply blinks orange and doesn't go to green. The router communicates with the computer just fine, and the modem works perfect when connected directly to the computer. I check the ISP address being assigned by the router and it matches the specs required. Could it be that the router is bad ? Any help appreciated.
