Mine had a similar problem. Try shining a light on the display and seeif you can see (very very faintly) the BENQ logo when you turn it on.If you can, what you will probably need is this:
The description says that it is for Dell and HP monitors but I thinkthey use very similar components. In my case I only had to replace theBel 3a ms125v fuse and it's working perfectly now.
Sorry if you don't like eBay, but that was the only place that I could find those parts and the seller seems really helpful.
