BIOS only seeing half of just-installed 2x1GB DDR2 RAM
Just installed 2x1GB DDR2 Kingston Value RAM KVR533D2N4/1G in PC Chips P23G Motherboard. Manual says max 2 x 1GB, 400 or 533 MHz
BIOS is only seeing half - ie 1024MB. Have swapped, checked in another motherboard, etc - RAM is OK. Tried just one stick in place - only 512 is detected.
Any ideas?

Did u check the old RAM...do they also show only half ?
may be ur new RAMs are not compatible with ur MB
what's the speed of ur new RAMs....400 or 533 ?
