Check the usb port function in the computer bios settings and be sure that it is set to yes. Connect properly your external drive. If it has two wire usb connections, use both to obtain the maximum power that will be need by your drive.
My Buffalo external hard disc can be detected by my laptop, but I when I try to access to it, it pops out a message box asking me to reformat it to enable access. Is there any other way to retrieve my files before re-format or recover my lost files after reformat? Or perhaps is there any other solution to troubleshoot my hard disc?
