More than likely you have a bad circuit board behind the LCD. The LCD is the display itself. I've seen where someone did a bad job of soldering job, (cold solder joint created by flow soldering), at the factory. It may have passed quality control initially but one good hard bump and the 'cold solder' joint that was created at the company just got 'born.' It happens. Most of the time it's not a problem, but you will run across this every now and then. It looks like you 'then.' If it's still in warranty, take it back and ask for an exchange. If it's just past warranty, take it back anyway! Usually sellers understand and won't have a problem with an exchange. Understand...It's not a user fixable thing!
