I solved this problem by realizing that I had forgotten to insert back a certain piece of plastic, that I had taken out to clean. this caused the blinking light
We have a nespresso citiz. our attachment that either heats milk or froths the milk only spins for a few seconds then stops. the red light on the milk jug begins to flash.
we also have a citiz milk which spins then stops and the red light flashes (milk still cold). Spoke with nespresso who believed it was down to a protein film building up on the teflon base. Although we clean our machine after every use I followed their advice of soaking the milk attachment overnight using tap hot water with a drop of washing up liquid. In the morning run the solution on the cold setting - empty out then repeat with a tap hot solution again. Finally rinse out, fill with cold water and use the heat setting. - it didn't work for us but could be worth a try !we also have a citiz milk which spins then stops and the red light flashes (milk still cold).
