Blown fuse?? no sound from sub. noticed fuse was blown. when i replace fuse and plug into the wall it blows right awway. what gives? this sub is less than a year old
There is an underlying cause for the fuse to blow. if something shorts out you would rather a 40 cent peice goes then the unit causing a fire. disassembly is require... look for obvious burnt parts first.
Call MTX speaker department at 1-800-556-2888 and order the amplifier. It cost 123.00 plus shipping. i love this subwoofer and the same thing happened to me.
I suggest replaceing the fuse once again with one with higher resistance(a smaller one could be sensitive to high current power) or, probably a very good thing would be to try a different wall plug!
