Bobbin thread is phooey and loopy
I have a Janome 2041 sewing machine. Recently the bobbin thread is looped instead of normal stitches ...I cannot figure it out because it was sudden. I have changed needles, thread, and have a manual but it is in Spanish and I do not read spanish. The english version that should have been with the machine was not in it. Anyway, I need help to figure out why myu machine is doing this and how to correct it/.
Thanks

Is it looping on the bottom of the fabric? If so it it probably a top tension issue, try this this quick test.
With the pressure foot up, you should be able to pull the thread easily right before the eye of the needle and when you put the foot down you should then feel a fair bit of tension on the top thread.
If you do not get tension with the foot down, check this:
-set the top tension dial to 5
-raise the pressure before threading the machine
-"floss" the thread by holding the thread as it comes off the spool with your right hand and holding the thread right before the needle. Make sure to do that with the pressure foot up. What happens is sometimes the thread doesn't go into the tension discs all the way due to lint or something else.
hope that helps,
