Bobbin trouble Hi,I have just bought a pfaff 1209 and it is seized up with threads behind the bobbin holder, how can I remove it to clear them all out? I have tried with tweezers, but they are in solid,so much the wheel won't turn by hand. I know it isn't the model you have but I think the bobbin cases are all the same. hope you can help. A O'Neill
Remove the needle plate for better access and try using a seam ripper to gently cut the threads and continue to remove with the tweezers.
The needle plate is the metal plate under the presser foot and is held into place with at least two screws.
The bobbin fits into the bobbin case.
The bobbin case fits into the bobbin shuttle.
Once you get the jam cleaned away, raise the needle to it's highest position and remove the bobbin case and/or replace the bobbin case.
Jamming can cause the machine to be out of time.
If you thead the machine with the presser foot up, have the bobbin inserted into the bobbin case correctly and the stiching is loose and loopy the machine may need to go into the shop for service.
