Bobcat trouble shooting
Bobcat was inadvertently run out of fuel. It now will not start. My husband is trying everything but we are not mechanics. We are desperate to fix it out to not lose any work. Someone suggested that it needs to be primed but we do not know how to do that. Any assistance will be so very appreciated :)

Either on the pump or fuel filter case there will be a small hand pump that you pump the fuel to the fuel pump. there are small bleed screws at the filter or on the pump that you open partially and as you pump you will see air and fuel come out. keep pumping until you get solid fuel then close off. The pump may be round so you will have to unscrew the top and that will allow the pump plunger to move . When finished do up the plunger again. Once the air is out of the system, crack the injector line nuts at each injector and crank the engine until there are drops of fuel at the nut, tighten up the nuts and it should start.
this is very helpful thank you so much!! One thing it is a toyota husky 4 and we cannot see a fuel pump ?
bobcats are bobcats and toyotas are skid steer loaders . The fuel pump may be on the fuel filter housing or in this case it may be electric in which case turn the ignition on and listen for a fule pump. If so open the bleed sacrews and go from there . The pump may be on the fil;ter housing and will be a diaphram type which you just push in the centre.
