VSM65 (and I assume other size models from this range) have a problem with failure of the mains filter electrolytic capacitor in on the control PCB. It is 2200 mfd 25 volt 105 degree. (Increase it to a 35volt to improve if possible?) This exact same capacitor causes the Vulcan gas ducted heater to fail at start up on cold mornings!(unit tries to start, fails to ignite, shuts off, then keeps trying again until is warmer!) Space is limited inside PCB module, so need to get same size cap, can get 35volt versions the same size. Also with VSM65 fuse on PCB blown can be caused by a shorted blue ceramic HV capacitor(up on top corner of PCB) Both the Bonaire and Vulcan seem to be a bit dodgy in this respect?!

Check the fuse in the unit
