Boot up takes too long
After pressing power on button it takes roughly 2 minutes for the xp pro boot screen to finally finish loading. it pauses a few times during load (looks as if its going to crash)
once its loaded its fine, works normal.

This happens when the computer gets full of "junk" (this happens with any computer over time) and can be remedied with a fresh windows install.
If you don't plan to reinstall windows in near future I suggest you go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and uninstall any software you don't use/need
Also tweaking the system registry migh help speed up boot time:
1. Click ‘Start’ then 'Run’
2. Type in ‘Regedit’ then click ‘Ok’
3. Navigate to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Cur rentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters\ ‘
4. Right-click on “EnablePrefetcher” and set the value to ‘0′
5. Close 'Regedit'
6. Navigate to 'Windows\Prefetch' folder (usualy drive on C:) and delete all its contents
5. Reboot.
7. Enjoy greatly improved boot time ;]
Hope this helps!
