Booup of a custom system
I have currently assembled a Asus A8V-E Delux MB with an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ CPU; I have updated the Bios, however it will not boot from an 165GB Eide WD hard drive. It sees the (Select Operating System Screen) then reboots.even in safe mode. I have tried setting the Bios to default, It does not help.
What do you suggest I try?
System contains a 76GB WD 10000 RPM Sata Drive and a 150GB WD 7200RPM Sata Drive and a !65 GB Eide Drive /w/ Windows XP Pro OS, a PCIE ATI Radeon X700 Graphics card and a 500 W Power supply.

Disconnect all hard drives except the one with your operating sytem and try that. You may have something hooked up wrong but you need to rule out other problems..can you see all the hard drives in the bios?
maybe the bios can't recognize drives larger than 80GB..check in your bios or with the manufacturer.
