Hi, You have a Bose Home Theater System hooked up to your television and I'm wondering if you're controlling the volume through the Bose Home Theater System or the television because both have a volume control and if you have the television volume turned down and you're using the Bose Home Theater System for volume or visa-versa then you're not going to get a decent sound.
