I have a Boss BR-8. It hasnt been used for a few years, and the last time it was used, it was used by my teenage daughter who never mentioned anything wrong, but who knows, did she shut it down properly etc? When I have turned it on, I get nothing in the display other than illumination. Leds are lite under the faders of 1, 3, 5 and 6. Nothing will work. A brief search of the internet and some posts here, they lead me to restart it holding down the button under 5 and the undo button at the same time. Eventually, it came to life, and after a bit of messing around it work. It did not give me an initialization menu as others have mentioned, it just started going. Used it for 30 mins and then shut it down properly. Now, the following day, it won't work again. The tip of holding down 5 and undo whilst powering up doesn't work. I have been trying for nearly an hour. Is there something that can be done? It is not used enough to warrant a repair. Someone said to download the latest software, but without a zip drive, I won't be able to put it on a disk. Your help would be appreciated. Kind regards, Andy
