Thanks Lawrence, I'm over my head on this one. Since there is no external power supply that I am aware of, it seems to suggest that I will need to remove the rear panel on the speaker, and see if I can identify a shorted component. Is that the correct next step? Thanks,Thanks Lawrence, I'm over my head on this one. Is there a power cord and volume controls on the sub? The manual says only a 1 amp fuse. There is an amplifier for the line level inputs. Look at that too. Most common parts that go bad are filter capacitors. You can tell if they're bad by looking at the top of them. They all should be flat. Domed or discolored indicate a bad capacitor. Is there a power cord and volume controls on the sub? The manual says only a 1 amp fuse. There is an amplifier for the line level inputs. I would expect a shorted component in the power supply
