Both rams are ok by testing to another computer. But the problem is that only one ram works on to a particular slot. In that slot other ram does not work. Earlier both the rams worked fine
Ok G41 10year old mobo. clearly MSI junk I hate MSI, so..
did you type that model # backwards wow. G41M-P26 is correct. yes you did, wow. https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/G41M-P26/Specification what size sticks now 1GB x2, what, DDR3, right.?
ah g41 chip set, that is now very weak support on that both intel and Microsoft, but off topic yes, but very important. G41 is very old intel chipset. 2010 ,10 years old now and the best memories that work are that old not new RAM. New RAM uses higher density DRAM chips today. that the old G41 can not know 10 years ago. (pure logic failure) and even cause odd results just like you see. (classic this now)
finding memory that work in pairs is not easy now, here are some simple rules. they must be same size memory. same maker and even same SKU (part number) and huge limits on density. by INTEL.
I have and old G41 here, and took great effort buying very old DDR sticks old that matched. what is hard to do and best is buying CERTIFIED DDR. memory. DDR3 800/1066/1333*(OC) flash new BIOS to 26.11 yet? there new web site sucks. all the good manuals are now gone the QVL lists for CPU and DDR are now gone. MSI id never buy from them ever. ASUS.com yes, 100x better. so much for MSI help so now lets to, certified ram. many top makers ended G41 support.
here are some old kingston that worked , then. KVR1066D3N7/1G
KVR1066D3N7/2G 1g and 2g p/n
buy them in pairs. do not mix size, brand or sku # matched.
DDR that work in 1 PC is never any proof it can work in yours. Chips sets not the same or wrong BIOS in failing PC. MSI and Asus. list may work for all G41 mobo here is nice MSI list QVL mem

same size, same sku, same density, same #chips per side, same RANK.
this are rules out of the intel G41 data sheet.
hard and fast rules(logic)
memory is more easy on new PC.
old PC are very very hard, to find.
unless bought in pairs using QVL lists old.
