bothers me: With the heater disconnected all the time, when I leave the thermostat connected, the defrost timer stops the compressor when it clicks (or the dial gets to 12 o'clock)and does not move anymore. I then have to advance it mannually to get it going again. The timer then operates normally but does the same thing again when it has completed a whole revolution which takes a few hours. When I disconnect the thermostat, however, the timer dial stops turning altogether and therefore never cuts out the power to the compressor. Is this normal? Does the timer need both the heater and the thermostat to be present in the circuit to work properly or I have a faulty timer as well? Do you have a schematic diagram for this fridge? Your help will be much appreciated

You have to have bith parts in place for the timer to operate correctly
