Adjust the left, right and rear paper guides so that the paper isn't fitting into the tray so tight. The clicking sound you hear is the gear trying to raise the paper to be fed, but it can't do it's job because the paper is in so tight. On mine, the culprit was the rear guide so I let it out just 1/4" or so-just enough to give the paper a little more room to move-problem solved-for me at least!!
