Bought a acer one ferrari pc and stupid me have forgot my signing in password cant get on pc at all its windows 7.ive tried rebooting in safe mode but user accounts are not being shown.how can i reset my password,coz im completely stuck.cheers pete

There is a software based on Linux that I highly recommend for this purpose. The software will need to be burned and booted from the computer in which the password was forgotten. It bypasses your operating system and places you in a Linux enviroment. No need for you to do anything else as it automatically tells you the users passwords.

You will have to burn the cd from another computer and then insert to the other computer. There is no other way into Windows 7 as the security is top notch.

This is the safest place to download as it is straight from the creators website. Some antivirus software may mistakenly flag Ophcrack as malware. You will need to either allow or disable the antivirus for download and burning purposes.
To read up on the software a little more and get some reviews, check out this website.
Try using where it says Method Three, scrolling down this link. It also works on Windows 7.
The only way to crack it is booting from CD.
Get an USB CD drive and boot from CD with an unlock disk.
This is what you need.

Then download and burn this software : Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
If that does not work, call Microsoft and Get a Windows 7 Disk, then Upgrade Windows 7, You will be given option to enter new user, and you will find your documents in the disk.
There is no simple solution like you press the button and start the system. If you have lost user and administrator account password you will need to boot from disk.
You do not need to burn the file using the same PC. Use a differnet PC to download the file, then burn it, take the disk home, and boot using an external DVD unit.
That is the way it works, all this run around the fact that your laptop has no internal DVD is of no use.
