Report "Bought a X1 White Lightning in September 2001, a 2002 model. Paid for racing engine management unit, Vance & Hince and air filter. The racing management system was never installed as the dealer couldn't get it running. After many other problems I have with this machine, I am now in South Africa (just btw), I have been battling with it for 3 years now running from one dealer to the next without getting to a solution. The bike starts fine in the morning and would run about 10 miles, backfire a couple of times and die. Leaving for 45 minutes to an hour, during which it just would not start, itt would fire up again, run 1 or 2 miles, backfire and quit again and just won't start for at least 45 minutes"
